Tankersley Park Golf Club (“the club”, “we”) is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. We are at Park Lane, High Green, Sheffield S35 4LG, and can be reached on 0114 246 8247 or at secretary@tankersleyparkgolfclub.org.uk.
Questions about how we handle your information can be sent to the club secretary using the details above.
This website collects personal information in only two places, and only when you choose to type it in. We do not collect anything about you simply for visiting.
The form on our visitors page asks for your name, the name of your society or group, your email address, telephone number, preferred date, the number of players, your catering preference and any notes you add. We use this to reply with a quotation and arrange your day.
Visitor tee times are not booked on this website. The Book a Tee Time button takes you to intelligentgolf, our booking provider, and anything you enter there is collected by them under their own privacy notice.
The form on our contact page asks for your name, email address, an optional telephone number, the nature of your enquiry and your message. We use this to reply to you.
For both forms we rely on legitimate interests — you have approached us about playing or about club business, and replying is what you would reasonably expect. Where your enquiry leads to a booking, we rely on performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering one.
We do not send marketing to enquirers. If the club decides to do so, that will require your consent, sought separately and withdrawable at any time.
Form submissions are sent by this website’s own server to the club secretary’s inbox as an email. They pass through the email service used by the club’s website developer, Vooba, in order to reach us, and are not kept on the website itself.
If you accept cookies, this site uses Google Analytics to measure how it is used and the Facebook (Meta) Pixel to measure the club’s advertising. Both are operated by those companies under their own privacy notices. Our cookie policy lists what is set and how to change your choice. If you reject cookies, neither identifies you.
This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Doing so tells Google the IP address of the device requesting the page. Our cookie policy explains this and how it can be avoided.
Members signing in through the members’ area leave this website for intelligentgolf, the club’s booking and handicap system, which is operated by a separate company under its own privacy notice. Nothing you enter there passes through this website.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone else except where we are required to by law.
Enquiries are kept only for as long as we need them to deal with your request, after which they are deleted. Where a request becomes a booking, records are kept for as long as we need them to meet our accounting obligations.
The website and the email service that delivers form submissions are hosted in the UK. The club’s own email is held with Microsoft 365. Google and Meta may process analytics and advertising data outside the UK under their own safeguards.
Under UK data protection law you may ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, restrict how we use it, or provide it in a portable form. You may also object to our processing where we rely on legitimate interests.
To exercise any of these, write to the secretary at the address above. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you raised it with us first so we can put it right.
Any changes to this notice will appear on this page, with the date at the top updated accordingly.
